SpaceWorks And Saga Form Alliance
SUMMARY
SpaceWorks
have announced a strategic marketing alliance with SAGA Software
which will make available to the marketplace an integrated enterprise
electronic commerce solution utilizing SAGA's EntireX middleware
and SpaceWorks OrderManager Software.
ANALYSIS
SAGA will participate
in joint marketing activities with SpaceWorks to fully leverage
its EntireX Message Broker, a message-oriented middleware product,
as the bridge between an enterprise's back-end systems and its customers
via the Web. Current and new SAGA customers who wish to capitalize
on the use of their middleware product for internal operations,
as well as external Web-based selling, will find this deal of interest.

The EntireX
Message Broker - SAGA's cross-platform message oriented middleware
solution - delivers centralized information contained in corporate
mainframe systems to applications distributed throughout the enterprise.
Through the integration with SpaceWorks OrderManager application,
this data now can be accessed by internal sales representatives
as well as external customers and trading partners - via the Web
- through a secure Intranet or Extranet, all with the click of a
mouse, in real-time, 24x7. This solution will enable customers or
purchasing agents to answer their own questions about product and
service prices, real-time availability, previous order status and
account status - providing enormous cost and time-savings which
translates into increased productivity and more satisfied customers.
Joint marketing
activities under the new partnership will include sales calls and
SAGA and SpaceWorks will conduct demos and make mutual collateral
available at upcoming trade shows. The two companies will also issue
joint press releases on related product news and offer reciprocal
promotions online at their respective Web sites.
