software company, today announced the launch of its Web BusinessManager
SuiteTM at the opening of the eBusiness Conference & Expo at the Jacob K.
Javits Convention Center. This new application suite expands the
capabilities of SpaceWorks flagship application, OrderManager®, with
complementary, integrated applications that automate specific business-to-
business activities over the Web. These activities - personalized marketing,
interactive guided selling and complex product configuration, auctions, bill
presentment and payment, post-sales service and maintenance and online
customer support - can now be supported through this single integrated
solution.
The SpaceWorks Web BusinessManager Suite leverages the breadth and depth of
the OrderManager application, now in its fourth generation, with the build-
out of new features and functionality, and the addition of new capabilities
by partnering with best-of-breed software vendors. Companion applications in
the Web BusinessManager Suite are seamlessly integrated with OrderManager,
delivering a common browser interface to facilitate ease of use and an
enhanced buying experience. This Suite allows Global 2000 companies to
evolve their Web business strategy over time, without having to replace,
restart or reconfigure current Web initiatives.
SpaceWorks OrderManager, as the core application, facilitates comprehensive
real-time order management and fulfillment tasks including order submission,
inventory availability, order tracking and account status. OrderManager
integrates with back- end ERP or legacy systems to provide a 24x7 self-service
Web sales channel. SpaceWorks recently announced six new major accounts that
are utilizing OrderManager for their business-to-business sell- side e-
Commerce solutions.

SpaceWorks Web BusinessManager Suite
The SpaceWorks Web BusinessManager Suite includes complementary applications
that can be deployed over time or at once, starting with SpaceWorks
OrderManager as the foundation. The following applications are available
today:
SpaceWorks IntegrationManager enables both inter-application and back-end
business process-based integration, as well as integration to buy-side
networks and industry marketplaces. This is available today.
SpaceWorks UIManagerTM serves as the means for providing a consistent,
highly configurable "look and feel" across multiple vendor applications.
This is available today.
SpaceWorks OrderManager® provides key, real-time order management
capabilities such as order submission, inventory availability, order tracking
and account status, as well customer enrollment, catalog and inventory
research, order approval and order fulfillment. OrderManager is at work
today for Global 2000 accounts.
SpaceWorks OfflineManager provides access to the OrderManager application
offline, (without a Web connection) so field sales reps can make catalog
searches, query past orders, display product information and compile an
order, among other tasks. Then, upon connecting to the Web, all information
will be automatically updated and orders uploaded. This is available today.
SpaceWorks SalesManager enables complex product configuration, interactive
guided selling, real- time quote management and configurable pricing. This
capability is provided through comprehensive integration to OnLink
Technologies' Rainmaker SalesTM application and is available today.
SpaceWorks ServiceManager grants full online customer service capabilities
such as managed e- mail, live chat and live voice over the Internet. In
addition, the customer has direct access to an extensive, self-service
answer database. This capability is provided through comprehensive
integration to Servicesoft Technologies' eCenter® solution and is available
today.
SpaceWorks BillingManager furnishes Internet-based billing functionality
including electronic bill presentment and payment, invoice consolidation and
invoice reconciliation. This will be available in Q1 2000 through a third-
party software alliance.
SpaceWorks ContentManager gives the selling organization the ability to fully
personalize Web content for each trading partner for a truly unique
experience. This will be available in Q1 2000 through a third-party software
alliance.
SpaceWorks MobileManager displays answers to key real-time order- related
queries, such as order status or inventory availability, to a hand-held
wireless device. This will be available in Q1 2000 through a third-party
software alliance.
These applications will be available within the next two quarters:
SpaceWorks ChannelManager allows the seller to perform extensive post-sales
service and maintenance and gather customer feedback through customer chat
rooms, bulletin boards, discussion threads and Web-based surveys.
SpaceWorks MarketingManager offers personalized marketing tools such as rules-
based personalized marketing and collaborative filtering.
SpaceWorks AuctionManager supplies traditional English Auction capabilities
(seller seeks highest bidder) for enterprises that want to generate
additional revenue by trading excess inventory or obsolete products. This
will be available through a third-party software alliance.
SpaceWorks CollaborationManager enables collaboration on new product designs,
sales plans, sales forecasts and supply chain schedules.
