SpaceWorks And OnLink Announce Vendor Technology Alliance:

Best-of-Breed Applications Will Be Linked To Deliver Comprehensive B-To-B Sell-Side E-Commerce

Rockville, MD and Redwood City, CA -- November 1, 1999 -- SpaceWorks, Inc. and OnLink Technologies, Inc. - market leaders in business-to-business Web commerce, today announced an alliance to provide comprehensive, customer-driven sell- side e-commerce solutions. The companies will integrate OnLink's Web sales application, Rainmaker SalesTM and SpaceWork's Web-native e-commerce application, OrderManager®, to deliver seamless e-commerce marketing and sales capabilities.

The combined SpaceWorks and OnLink solutions provide companies with the ability to deliver an unconstrained selling environment and best-of-breed order management, processing, fulfillment and service. Business customers will be able to conduct numerous real-time order management activities via the Web, while utilizing fully interactive guided selling tools to intuitively assist the buyer throughout the purchase.

OnLink's Rainmaker Sales application will be easily accessible from SpaceWorks OrderManager application, where Web site visitors are guided throughout their entire buying experience, receiving instant feedback on needs, product validation, up-sell and cross-sell opportunities, pricing and special offers as the business customers of SpaceWorks clients configure complete and valid solutions.

The SpaceWorks OrderManager application links to back-end systems, giving trading partners real-time, electronic access to information stored in disparate data repositories from a Web browser. OnLink's customers will be able to directly access the OrderManager application to retrieve the latest product specifications, catalog information, pricing and inventory availability. In addition, in real-time, clients can place orders, confirm order and shipping status, as well as manage credit limits and accounts.

"Our collaboration with OnLink will empower our customers with the ability to take their business-to-business electronic commerce systems to the next level with fully interactive guided selling," commented Dave MacSwain, President and CEO of SpaceWorks. "SpaceWorks recently outlined an aggressive vision to offer integrated marketing, selling and service capabilities over the Web. OnLink is an important component of this vision."

"Our customers are implementing advanced e-commerce systems and know they have to provide a superior Web experience to keep customer retention rates high," said Buck French, CEO and Co-Founder of OnLink Technologies.
