Prominent Electronic Commerce Editor/Analyst Joins SpaceWorks Marketing Team
Rockville, MD -- December 18, 1998 -- SpaceWorks of Rockville, MD, a leading provider of Web-based ordering and Extranet commerce solutions, today announced that Ron Hudak has joined the Company as marketing communications manager. Hudak, formerly with Phillips Business Information of Potomac, MD - a principal publisher of business-to-business information, served as senior editor and senior analyst of the Electronic Commerce Group, where he was the driving force behind such notable publications as Electronic Commerce News.
As a leading industry editor and commentator, Hudak informed Fortune 1000 companies about how to take advantage of leading edge technology to improve business processes and raise return on investment. In addition, Hudak served as a primary electronic commerce (EC) industry source, helping high-tech companies monitor their competition, as well as track key emerging trends.
Hudak’s weekly column, "Electronic Comments", provided fresh insight into the inner workings of the EC market, and was invaluable in helping both the corporate world and EC industry track critical developments and issues. Hudak’s career also includes coverage and insight on important E-commerce policy issues including Internet taxation and the U.S. encryption legislation.
At SpaceWorks, Hudak will be responsible for helping to strategically shape the company’s message and positioning in the industry by bringing his extensive knowledge base to create high-level business white papers and customer-focused case studies. Hudak also will oversee such critical marketing activities as direct mail and telemarketing - all geared toward expanding SpaceWorks customer base in existing and new vertical communities, which has been a hallmark of the Company’s business model.
"We are excited about the addition of Ron Hudak to the SpaceWorks team," said SpaceWorks co-founder and vice president of marketing, Liz Sara. "His expertise in the fast-paced, dynamic world of electronic commerce will prove critical to our ability to continue to shape our message and positioning to meet changing customer needs, and track important shifts in the EC business paradigm."
"SpaceWorks has proven its ability to address real business needs in the rapidly changing E-commerce marketplace - a reputation which helped shape my decision to join the Company," said Hudak. "I am extremely excited to join this established marketplace leader. SpaceWorks solid technology, combined with an experienced management team, will enable the company to continue its leadership position in this fiercely competitive marketplace. I look forward to playing a key role in the next phase of the SpaceWorks story."
