SpaceWorks Announces GE Industrial Systems as Newest Global 2000 Client

Rockville, MD -- June 20, 2000 -- SpaceWorks, Inc.®, a leading business-to-business sell-side Web commerce software company, today announced that GE Industrial Systems has licensed SpaceWorks OrderManager solution to establish a Web-based business-to- business sales channel. GE Industrial Systems, a $5B global leader in industrial systems engineering products, will utilize OrderManager to conduct Web commerce with its worldwide business customers, including commercial, industrial and utility companies.

SpaceWorks OrderManager, the flagship application that serves as the core of SpaceWorks Web BusinessManager Suite, provides numerous, real-time Web-based transactional capabilities including order placement, order tracking, inventory look-up, account status and shipping updates. With OrderManager, GE Industrial Systems' business customers can perform these key transactions. OrderManager is seamlessly integrated to GE Industrial Systems' three back-end systems including SAP R/3 and two mainframe legacy systems, which house inventory data, along with pricing, shipping and customer account information. This direct connection gives customers immediate access to GE Industrial Systems' catalog of two million items such as generators, motors, panel boards, reactors and switches -- enabling a real- time view of inventory availability.

"Space Works has a proven track record of rapid implementations and back-end integration expertise, both key issues for our e-business strategy," remarked Larry Sollecito, General Manager, E-commerce at GE Industrial Systems. "We look forward to using that expertise to further our e-business objectives."

"GE Industrial Systems represents the second major GE division for which SpaceWorks has established a Web-based sales channel - further demonstrating our B2B E- Commerce leadership within the Global 2000," according to SpaceWorks President and CEO, Dave MacSwain. "As their needs evolve, GE Industrial Systems has the option to license other modules within SpaceWorks Web BusinessManager Suite that complement OrderManager, enabling them to fully evolve their site over time."
