SpaceWorks Announces Formation of B2B Advisory Council

Global 2000 Customers to Participate as Charter Members

Rockville, MD -- October 10, 2000 -- SpaceWorks, Inc, a leading business-to-business sell-side Web commerce software company, today announced the establishment of the SpaceWorks B2B Advisory Council, an executive-level forum for SpaceWorks customers and partners to share insight and perspective on B2B Electronic Commerce within their company and respective industry with the SpaceWorks executive management team.

The SpaceWorks B2B Advisory Council will play a special role in shaping SpaceWorks future direction by acting as a sounding board for senior management and the board of directors through the sharing of information and experiences about industry trends, technologies and best practices related to e-Commerce. The Council will foster close communication between SpaceWorks and its customers through this two-way idea exchange.

The Council, which was approved by the SpaceWorks Board of Directors, will hold its inaugural meeting October 22-23 in the Washington metropolitan area. Council members represent senior level business and IT executives from their respective firms and were individually nominated by the SpaceWorks executive management team based on the important and innovative role both they and their company play in the B2B arena. Members will serve one-year terms.

This first B2B Advisory Council, which is composed of ten representatives from leading SpaceWorks clients and partners such as Avaya Communications, GE Industrial Systems, Maytag, PricewaterhouseCoopers and WebMethods, also includes Berge Ayvazian, CEO of The Yankee Group.

“The SpaceWorks Advisory Council was created to build on the relationships that we have established with our clients and partners,” said SpaceWorks President and CEO Dave MacSwain. “Our customers are visionaries who have successfully executed e-Commerce initiatives that are already driving revenue. Their role on this Council will be a valuable source of communication to SpaceWorks, enabling us to ensure that future generations of the Web BusinessManager Suite address their evolving needs and directions as representatives of the marketplace.”
