SpaceWorks Announces Web BusinessManager Suite 5.0

Rockville, MD -- August 30, 2000 -- SpaceWorks, Inc.®, the leading business-to-business sell-side Web commerce software company, today announced the commercial availability of SpaceWorks Web BusinessManager Suite 5.0. The Suite furnishes a set of optional modules, each licensed individually, which can be added to the SpaceWorks OrderManager application, to deliver increased functionality addressing personalized marketing, reporting, customer service, and integration to e-marketplaces and buyer networks. Each modular application has been integrated with OrderManager, so the end user will experience a transparent transition from one application to the next with a common browser-based user interface throughout. The Web BusinessManager Suite 5.0 is based on the fifth generation of the flagship OrderManager application and includes MarketingManager, ReportManager, ServiceManager and IntegrationManager.

Global 2000 clients and B2B e-Marketplaces can choose to deploy the optional applications in any sequence, at any time, with OrderManager serving as the foundation of the B2B Web sales channel. This approach allows SpaceWorks clients to easily and conveniently evolve their e-Commerce strategy over time with assurance that new capabilities interoperate with those already in place. OrderManager automates all of the mission-critical activities involved in selling products over the Web, including real-time order submission and tracking, immediate inventory checking and up-to-the-minute account profile histories. It integrates with back-end legacy and ERP systems, as well as links to e-Marketplaces and procurement networks.

In addition to SpaceWorks OrderManager, the foundation of the Web BusinessManager Suite 5.0, the following applications are now fully integrated and commercially available:

MarketingManager -- Facilitates targeted, rules-based marketing in which customer activity can be accurately captured so user-specific profiles can be built. This allows targeted advertising or promotions to be directed to specific business customers based on buying habits and individual interest.

ReportManager -- Provides detailed analysis and reporting features for both the selling organization as well as the business buyer.

ServiceManager -- Includes Web-based customer service capabilities such as managed e-mail, live chat, voice over the Internet and a self-help database.

IntegrationManager -- Facilitates XML-based integration to external buyer networks or e-Marketplaces, in addition to the internal purchasing systems of the business customer.

Additional applications in the Suite will be commercially available in future releases.
