SpaceWorks And PricewaterhouseCoopers Form E-Business Alliance
PricewaterhouseCoopers Serves as Preferred Integrator for SpaceWorks Web BusinessManager Suite
Rockville, MD -- August 10, 2000 -- SpaceWorks, Inc.®, a leading business-to-business sell-side Web commerce software company, and PricewaterhouseCoopers, the world's largest professional services organization, today announced that they have signed a priority E- Business alliance. As a priority alliance, SpaceWorks becomes an important component of PricewaterhouseCoopers' e-business and alliance strategies and PricewaterhouseCoopers becomes the preferred SpaceWorks integrator for implementation of the Web BusinessManager Suite at SpaceWork's Global 2000 and e-Marketplace clients.
Together, the two organizations will provide e-Business software solutions, consulting and integration services in the U.S. and around the world. PricewaterhouseCoopers has already provided SpaceWorks' professional services teams with implementation assistance in the deployment of the SpaceWorks OrderManager application for a number of its Global 2000 clients, such as GE Aircraft Engines, enabling them to rapidly launch first-rate e-Business systems.

SpaceWorks has implemented a training and mentoring program for PricewaterhouseCoopers that features sales, product and technical instruction. The program will help to ensure readiness and success in implementing SpaceWorks Web BusinessManager Suite worldwide. The companies also are engaging in mutual sales calls and marketing activities including trade shows, advertising and joint collateral. In addition, as part of the alliance agreement, PricewaterhouseCoopers will appoint a representative to the SpaceWorks e-Commerce Advisory Council, and participate in its product development and planning committee.
SpaceWorks was recently named as a PricewaterhouseCoopers E-Business vendor in a national PricewaterhouseCoopers ebusiness is business print advertisement in leading industry and e-Commerce magazines. PricewaterhouseCoopers will showcase the SpaceWorks products in its world-class demonstration and development center in Philadelphia, The Zone, which provides a state-of-the-art demo center for Global 2000 companies looking for e-business solutions. These companies will soon be able to view SpaceWorks Web BusinessManager Suite in action, with live links to best-of-class host application systems -- enabling the prospective client to witness key Web-based selling tasks such as order placement, order tracking, inventory availability and account status, in addition to related e- Business tasks.
