SpaceWorks,
Inc. is taking a page from the successful infomercial strategy,
launching a series of free, interactive Web seminars. The "Webinars"
are designed to assist e-commerce decision makers in developing
an e-commerce strategy, and to sell SpaceWorks' software and services.
The seminars
will start later this month with a case study on how appliance manufacturer
Maytag undertook their business-to-business (B2B) e-commerce vendor
evaluation and selection process. The seminar, featuring Maytag's
e-commerce program manager Kurt Hunt and SpaceWorks president and
CEO Dave MacSwain will be online Feb. 24 and Mar. 9, from 12:00
to 1:00 PM Eastern.
MacSwain said
participants can register electronically at http://www.spaceworks.com
to attend, with the first 100 registrants entered into a drawing
to win an MP3 Player.
According to
MacSwain, Maytag will provide an overview of the steps they undertook
in their B2B e-commerce vendor evaluation and selection process,
with a focus on the criteria that influenced Maytag's decision to
license SpaceWorks OrderManager.
The Rockville,
Md.-based company also will demonstrate its OrderManager, which
offers real-time order submission, inventory availability, order
tracking and account status.
